WithIt Announces Expert Panel for Education Breakfast at HPMKT

WithIt (Women In The Home Furnishings Industry Today) announced its expert panel for its Fall Education Breakfast presented by Myriad Software hosted on Oct. 27 during High Point Furniture Market.

The popular market event will be moderated by NFM’s Chief Merchandising Officer Nora Gomez. Two mother and daughter retail duos will join as panelists: Coco & Dash’s owners Teddy and Courtney Garrigan and Gail Komisar and Randi Schachter of BILTRITE Furniture.

Coco & Dash is a family-owned home decor retail shop and design studio located in Dallas, TX. Teddie and Courtney Garrigan are the mother-daughter dynamos whose personal and creative flair is the foundation for their award-winning shop.

BILTRITE Furniture is a 4th generation locally and family-owned furniture and mattress retailer. BILTRITE has been women led for years, is one of the founding members of Furniture First National Buying Group and won HFA Retailer of the Year Award for 2023. Earlier this year, Randi Schachter was recognized with the Milwaukee Business Journal Women of Influence Award.

The discussion will surround mastering the art of grit, resilience, and creativity to excel in today’s challenging business environment. Both mother-daughter pairs will discuss their experiences in the industry and what they are doing to thrive in today’s world.

"The insights shared at our WithIt Education Breakfasts are invaluable as we navigate the ever-evolving landscape of our industry,” says Jenny Tinsley, Manager of Corporate Communications for Culp, Inc. and Vice President of Professional Development at WithIt.

“WithIt continues to champion these kinds of conversations, helping women in our industry connect, grow, and learn from each other. I’m excited to see how this panel will not only energize us for the challenges ahead but also showcase the powerful role of collaboration in our success."

The Fall Education Breakfast will also take place in a new spot at High Point Furniture Market in October, moving to The Factory at Congdon Yards on the 3rd floor. There will be limited parking spots behind The Factory at Congdon Yards for the event as well as High Point Market shuttles at 7 and 7:15 a.m. from the transportation center.

Tickets to the event are $40 for market attendees and $30 for WithIt members. Tickets include a hot buffet breakfast to be enjoyed during the panel. The event is sponsored by Myriad Software and Nebraska Furniture Mart.
