Capel Rugs Introduces Variety of Rugs in New Market Showroom

“We wanted to make a splash with our introductions this market to help celebrate the opening of our new expanded showroom at 200 N. Hamilton St.,” said Cameron Capel, president – sales and marketing for Capel Rugs. “We are very excited with this move, and the additional space to showcase all of Capel Rugs.  This market we’re devoting extra attention to contemporary designs this market since we see an opportunity, but we’re also maintaining our longtime strength in traditional styling. And we’re also adding three fresh designs to our American Originals line of richly textured, made-in-the-USA rugs.”
 
To encourage customers to place orders at market, Capel Rugs is offering a special “draw for your discount” promotion. The discounts range from 10%-50% off the standard price of all new rugs.

Leading off Capel Rugs’ intros this market are two new contemporary collections made of 100% silk – Aquarelles and Graylen. Aquarelles, the French word for “watercolors,” captures the spirit of classic French impressionist paintings, which were created by using a wet brush or by dissolving paints in water to make them translucent. Capel’s Aquarelles rug collection re-creates this effect by using silk yarns that are blended and muted to deliver a captivating, fluid feeling.
 
Featuring luxurious silk pile hand knotted in India, the Aquarelles collection is available in four colorways – verde, noir, bleu and blanc . Three standard sizes are offered – 5’ x 8’, 7’6” x 9’6” and 9’ x 12’– and custom sizes also will be available. A 5’ x 8’ size may retail for $2,049.
 
A second new 100% silk collection, Graylen, also features a soft, hand knotted pile construction. Expertly crafted in India, Graylen takes inspiration from the subtle colorations and intricate linear patterning of traditional Moroccan designs and adds a fresh, modern spin. 

Four colorways are offered, each in a palette of artful neutral tones. They include grey stone, graphite, silver tile and shadow. Standard sizes include 5’ x 8’, 7’6” x 9’6” and 9’ x 12’, with custom size also available. A 5’ x 8’ may retail for $1,699.

This market, Capel Rugs also is introducing four new transitionally styled collections in 100% wool. They include Henley, Jansson, Matrix and Winthrope.
 
Henley, hand knotted in India, features a modern take on traditional grass themes. The intricate yet minimalistic pattern showcases fluid, organic lines with an ombré effect, creating a sense of movement and harmony. The alabaster colorway features a balanced blend of ivory, white and gray neutral tones.
 
Available in three sizes – 5’ x 8’, 7’6” x 9’6” and 9’ x 12’ – Henley also is offered in custom sizes. A 5’ x 8’ rug may retail for $2,199.
 
Jansson, also hand knotted in India, makes a strong eco-friendly statement with its use of all-natural, undyed wool yarns. Wonderfully abstract with cubist influences, this rug design is a geometric work of art for the floor, with an abundant, luxurious pile and large-scale patterns. 
 
Each of Jansson’s three colorways features a sophisticated, monochromatic palette. Choices include metal, parchment and taupe. Three sizes are available – 5’ x 8’, 7’6” x 9’6” and 9’ x 12’ – along with custom sizes. A 5’ x 8’ rug may retail for $1,199.
 
Capel Rugs’ third new transitionally styled collection in all wool is Matrix. Expertly crafted in India of all-natural, undyed wool, Matrix’s hi-lo pile is abundant and full of texture. The hand tufted collection showcases three distinct geometric patterns and colorways, creating a harmonious fusion of symmetry and style that enhances both traditional and modern interiors.
 
Choices include graphite jade, sable and taupe. Three sizes are available – 5’ x 8’, 7’6” x 9’6” and 9’ x 12’ – along with custom sizes. A 5’ x 8’ model may retail for $499.
 
Winthrope, Capel Rugs’ fourth transitionally styled wool collection, is meticulously hand knotted in India from premium dyed and undyed yarns. The collection features a range of elevated traditional designs. Subtle yet sophisticated color palettes combined with luxurious hi-lo textures create a regal aesthetic, making the collection a perfect addition to any refined home.
 
Four choices of patterns and colorways are offered. They include gray/sage, sepia, azure and Ivory. Three sizes are available – 5’ x 8’, 7’6” x 9’6” and 9’ x 12’ – plus custom sizes. A 5’ x 8’ rug may retail for $1,349.
 
Rounding out Capel Rugs’ slate of hand knotted introductions this market are two additional nature-inspired collections – Heath and Veld. Both collections are made in India and feature a 70% wool/30% viscose blend.
 
Inspired by the rural landscape of Britain, characterized by rough grass and small shrubs, Heath complements virtually any room style with its subtle lines and intriguing color variations. Three colorways are offered – jade, turquoise and sapphire. Sizes include 5’ x 8’, 7’6” x 9’6” and 9’ x 12’, as well as custom sizes. A 5’ x 8’ rug may retail for $2,199.

Also drawing on the beauty of nature for its design is Veld. Inspired by the wide-open grasslands of Southern Africa, Veld features five unique colorways. In each, a blend of black-and-white yarns are used to enhance the contrast of the pattern, along with an enlarged scale, delivering a modern spin on a traditional design. 
 
Colorways include grass, stone, aqua, sky and clay. Three sizes are offered – 5’ x 8’, 7’6” x 9’6” and 9’ x 12’ – along with custom sizes. A 5’ x 8’ rug may retail for $1,449.
