HPMKT Area Largely Unaffected by Helene, Market Will Proceed

In the wake of Hurricane Helene, which caused extensive damage to parts of North Carolina, the High Point community is relieved to report that the region remains largely unaffected.

To that point, The High Point Market Authority, organizers of the High Point Furniture Market, have announced that the venue will continue as planned, running from Oct 26-30.

While some areas in the state have experienced significant challenges due to the storm, High Point's infrastructure, businesses, and hotels have not been impacted, ensuring the safety and comfort of all attendees.

Preparations for the world-renowned furniture market are in full swing, with no delays or cancellations expected.

"First and foremost, our thoughts are with those affected by Hurricane Helene. We are incredibly grateful that High Point has remained unscathed, allowing us to proceed with the Market as scheduled," said Tammy Covington Nagem, president and Chief Executive Officer.

"The safety of our exhibitors, attendees, and staff is always our top priority, and we are confident that we can deliver a safe successful, and exciting event again this year," Nagem added.

Knowing that many attendees opt to drive to High Point, Nagem advises they check with the North Carolina Department of Transportation’s website https://www.ncdot.gov/Pages/default.aspx- for the latest information regarding detours and or road closings as a result of the hurricane.
