Ergomotion Promotes Gui Peres to CEO

Ergomotion, the global leader of adjustable bases and wellness-technology sleep solutions, has promoted Gui Peres to CEO. Peres had served as COO since early 2023.

The announcement comes as Ergomotion prepares to celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2025, and the Ergomotion board of directors selected the leader to take the company and the adjustable base category into the future of innovative sleep solutions.

“The board of directors is pleased to appoint Gui as our new CEO at a very important time for the Ergomotion brand and organization. We have full confidence in the extensive experience, unwavering commitment, and exceptional skill set Gui has to lead the company into its next phase of growth and success,” said Jack Tang, CEO of Keeson, parent company of Ergomotion.

Giving his full support of the appointment, Ergomotion founder Alain Clénet said Peres is the right choice with the knowledge of the market and dedication to the people and company.

Executive advisor Johnny Griggs, who served as COO for eight years prior to Peres, added, “After 16 years of working side by side with Gui, I was able to witness his passion and dedication in helping make Ergomotion what it is today. His vision for the future is even more inspiring as he continues to lead Ergomotion into the future.”

Peres joined Ergomotion in 2007 as a sales and marketing team member. Over the years, his role has evolved to president of the company’s wellness division and then COO last year. He is a seasoned professional in managing sales and international operations.

Prior to joining Ergomotion, Peres was a consultant for Unilever Latin America supporting cross-border projects and working with furniture industry sales within his family business. Fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese, Peres holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations in São Paulo, Brazil, and an EMBA from Pepperdine University.

“When I joined Ergomotion as a start-up in 2008, we were barely making payroll. Today we are fortunate to be the world’s largest adjustable bed base maker, and a leading sleep technology provider, thanks to our excellent team and exceptional industry partners,” Peres said.

As the global leader in adjustable base sleep technology, Ergomotion’s mission is to develop integrated wellness solutions that connect with the modern consumer. The company has sold nearly 10 million adjustable bases worldwide and upholds the top international quality and safety standards.
