The Common Thread for the Cure Foundation acknowledges Spectra Home for its ongoing commitment to provide the Foundation with funding. A portion of the sales from their popular Tamara Day by Spectra Home collection is being donated biannually. The Foundation supports individuals in the design and furnishings industry who are fighting breast cancer by offering financial assistance through confidential grants.
“Many thanks to Spectra Home for their continued support,” stated Rob Mayer, Foundation chair and president of Mayer Fabrics. “Our mission is to unite the design and furnishings industry in the battle against breast cancer by providing financial help to industry members and their immediate families who may be impacted by this disease. Their contribution means that we can award more confidential grants to those in our industry with breast cancer.”
“When we learned how The Common Thread for the Cure Foundation helps those who are battling breast cancer, we wanted to help too,” Jim Telleysh, president of Spectra Home shared. “So many of us have friends and family members who have had to deal with breast cancer and the financial stress it causes. We hope that our support will ease the burden that those families are experiencing.”
“The Common Thread for the Cure Foundation raises funds through donations for our confidential grants so breast cancer survivors can focus on healing rather than finances,” Mayer continued. “Every year we receive more requests for help from younger people. We encourage other manufacturers to join Spectra Home in making contributions to the Foundation so we can continue to help those in need.”
