Lauren Rottet Showcases Select Pieces at GALA Design-Studio

Lauren Rottet, FAIA, FIIDA, internationally celebrated architect, designer and founding principal/president and owner of Rottet Studio, will showcase select pieces from her award-winning Rottet Collection furniture in the new 10,000 square-foot GALA Design-Studio (shown). It is located at 2222 Westheimer Road in the Upper Kirby District of the River Oaks neighborhood in Houston. Launched by Texas retailer Renee Galang, the Grand Opening will take place Sept 25 from 6 — 8pm.

In a first for Houston, Rottet will debut her cutting-edge designs alongside a curated selection of luxury brands, including the 90-year-old Boffi Kitchen and Bath Company, and its sister brands, DePadova and ADL, debuting in a new ground up two-story building by Cisneros Design Studio. Other international brands include MisuraEmme, COR, Ethimo and RS Barcelona, to name a few.

Featured pieces from Rottet’s oeuvre, many of which have been honored in Paper City Houston’s Design Awards, will include the Scutoid Planters, New Canaan Lounge Chair, Montauk Float Chairs and Table and the multiple award-winning Dichroic Table and Dark and Stormy Table – all emphasizing transparency, form and luxe materials.

“We are thrilled about this partnership with GALA and introducing Rottet Collection’s luxury furnishings to our hometown market in Houston. As our city continues its appreciation for arts and culture, it is important to offer quality products that people cannot find elsewhere and that is exactly what this partnership promotes,” said Rottet about the new venue and upcoming collaboration.
