STITCH Design Shop announces two additions to its growing team across North Carolina, bringing its staff total to 23.

Rebekah Laney has been named to the new role of director of business development, responsible for implementing business strategy in the Triangle region, including Raleigh and Durham.

In this position, Laney will execute sales initiatives, while also coordinating with the firm’s project sector leaders on sales for all STITCH Design Shop offices, located in Winston-Salem, Greensboro and Boone. She reports to Ben Schwab, AIA architect and co-founder of the firm who additionally serves as director of operations.

Laney holds a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Additionally, she completed an Architecture Intensive Program at the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.

Filling the new role of procurement lead, Hayden DeShazer will operate under STITCH Dwellings, a STITCH Design Shop sub-brand dedicated to residential design projects. Her responsibilities include managing all furnishings procurement-related tasks. DeShazer reports to Taylor Ghost, associate and director of interior design.

DeShazer holds a bachelor’s in business administration with a concentration in Operations and Supply Chain Management from North Carolina State University. Previously, she served as Senior Procurement Coordinator at J. Davis Architects and Senior Purchasing Specialist at Rios.

“We are excited to welcome Rebekah and Hayden,” says Schwab. “Combined, their experience in the Triangle and beyond will be invaluable to STITCH during this era of expansion.”
