IKEA Alpharetta Plans Grand Opening Celebration for Plan & Order Point

IKEA’s Plan & Order Point with Pick-Up store in Alpharetta, GA will celebrate its Grand Opening on Aug. 28, adding a second IKEA location to the Atlanta Metro area. The store is located in the Mansell Crossing Shopping Center at 7681 North Point Pkwy.

In celebration of the official opening, there will be a Grand Opening Celebration at 10am with exclusive tours, giveaways, food sampling and more.

“We are excited to give Atlanta metro area consumers a new way to shop IKEA!” said Javier Quiñones, CEO & chief sustainability officer, IKEA U.S. “The new Alpharetta location highlights our efforts to bring IKEA closer to the many people and make it easier and more affordable to access our home furnishing products and solutions.”

This new format store allows IKEA to better meet the needs of today’s consumer, with the aim of being more affordable, accessible and convenient. This location will give their customers the opportunity to get support from IKEA experts to Plan & Order their home furnishing solutions that require a bit more help – such as kitchens, bedrooms, and bathrooms.

While customers cannot take their items home that day, the IKEA co-workers will arrange for delivery or schedule the orders to be picked-up from the convenient pick-up location right on-site.

"The new Alpharetta location is just one of the many new ways we are growing our business. We are thrilled to be opening our doors at IKEA Alpharetta soon, and can’t wait to welcome residents of the Atlanta area to this new IKEA experience,” said Brandon Lomax, Market Manager, IKEA U.S.

With the addition of Plan & order points with Pick-up and its continuously growing presence throughout the U.S., IKEA is expanding their efforts to have a positive impact on the planet by exploring new opportunities in clean energy, circular economy and affordable housing advocacy.
