Simpli Home, D2C and e-commerce home furniture manufacturer, is expanding its sustainability initiatives by adding eco-friendly packaging to all products. The move aims to increase the company’s environmental efforts and move towards a greener future.
Simpli Home’s packaging now includes 100 percent recycled and biodegradable paper, a protectant to replace traditional polyethylene foam, along with new non-woven wrapping material that is also recycled and biodegradable. To protect the corners, the brand is now using honeycomb cardboard in replace of Styrofoam.
“As our company moves toward eco-friendly practices, sustainable packaging has been our top priority,” said Yoram Weinreich, chief executive officer of Simpli Home. “By making these changes, our goal is to set the standard for clean and environmentally responsible packaging in the manufacturing industry.”
In addition to this packaging switch, the brand partners with environmental organizations, including CleanHub, a plastic waste collection organization, and Evertreen, an organization that plants trees for every purchase of a Simpli Home product made on their official website.
“With almost all of our manufacturers now converted to 100% eco-friendly packaging, our commitment to becoming plastic positive will be achieved in the coming years, if not months,” said Darcy McGilvery, chief marketing officer of Simpli Home. “This shift in packaging not only demonstrates our dedication to this effort but also showcases the variety of ways we stay true to our mission of being a sustainable company, one shipment at a time.”
