NLB Announces Return of Lighting Transformation Awards

The National Lighting Bureau is thrilled to announce the return of the highly anticipated Lighting Transformation Awards for their second annual celebration. This year, the event promises to be even more exhilarating, thanks to an esteemed sponsorship by the Lighting Control Association.

This prestigious collaboration highlights the growing significance of innovative lighting control systems, which are transforming the industry by enhancing retrofit projects, streamlining automation, and creating seamless user experiences.

The NLB is proud to introduce the newly added Special Citations category for “Lighting Control Integrations” where the Lighting Control Association will lend their expertise as judges. This category will spotlight cutting-edge implementations and elevate the standard of excellence in lighting control solutions.

Mary Beth Gotti, chair, National Lighting Bureau, and Transformation Awards Founder stated, “We at the NLB are very excited to announce the collaboration with the Lighting Controls Association to recognize outstanding lighting controls design and implementation in retrofit projects.”

“Advanced lighting controls offer vast potential to save energy and decarbonize, enhance the occupant experience, and yield data-rich insights in existing buildings,” said Craig DiLouie, LC, CLCP, education director for the Lighting Controls Association. “The National Lighting Bureau is taking a major step in demonstrating these benefits by recognizing superior existing construction projects. We are excited to support this new award to highlight the terrific value of advanced lighting controls for building owners and managers.”

“As the National Lighting Bureau continues our mission to champion excellence and innovation in lighting design, technology, and application while collaborating with like-minded organizations, the NLB is thrilled to have the Lighting Controls Association onboard to sponsor and judge a Special Citation Award for design and implementation of controls within our Transformation Awards Program,” said Tom Butters, executive director of the NLB.

Gary Meshberg, market development specialist and building control systems, Legrand North America states, “The Lighting Controls Association is pleased to partner with the NLB to feature retrofit designs for lighting controls. The Transformation Awards are designed to benefit our industry by highlighting innovative lighting systems and control applications. Lighting control plays a crucial role in design, and these awards will showcase creative uses that go beyond mere code compliance.”

Winning projects will be recognized during the 2024 NALMCO Annual Convention and Trade Show in Orlando, Florida, October 13-16, 2024. More details on Call for Entries of The Lighting Transformation Awards and Lighting Control system Special Citations to follow.
