Lauren Rottet Exhibits Furniture Range at 2024 ICFF

Lauren Rottet, FAIA, FIIDA, architect, designer and founding principal/president and owner of Rottet Studio is exhibiting her furniture range at the 2024 edition of the International Contemporary Furniture Fair (ICFF) at the Javits Center, May 19-21.

Inspiration for the New York installation is rooted in her Living Room scene created for an historic Milanese residence during Milan’s Design Week last month in partnership with Artemest, the digital destination that offers unrivalled access to the world of Italian craftsmanship and design.

Known internationally for award-winning interiors for the world’s leading luxury hotel brands, offices and high-end residences, Rottet continues to honor Italian craftsmanship in this newly reconfigured space with select pieces from her cutting-edge Rottet Collection furniture, including two new additions – the Cake Lamp and Luminosa Screen – both developed and handmade in Italy and now introduced to the U.S. market during ICFF.

The Living Room reimagined as a “powerful pied-a-terre” features neutral shades with imagery depicting a fireplace and mantel printed digitally on Phillip Jeffries linen-textured wallcovering to mirror historic details of the Milanese architecture. The floor covering is Sacco Carpet’s Rolla in Ecru, adding a soft textured surface to the room.

Rottet’s highly inventive multi-functional Luminosa Screen produced from custom Rubelli fabric and embedded with LEDs adds a warm glow. The expansive material palette plays off of Rottet’s signature surfaces showcased in the space, including dichroic glass and low coffee and side tables punctuated with the hand-etched crystal finish on the Cake Lamp, a whimsical handmade light inspired by an elevated cake stand.

“This exhibit space is a joyful expression of Old World elegance that I also employed in Milan and merged with a 21st-century aesthetic. I think acknowledging history and the warmth it brings us is a way to frame this installation, while also looking forward to incorporating technology that adds a certain ease to modern life,” said Rottet.

The range also features products from the Powerful Collection – artful pieces that offer integrated power for modern convenience – such as the Powerful Table, an inventive design of multiple faceted surfaces with hidden power access, as well as with the Powerful C-Table, featuring a marble top that swivels to reveal access to an electrical connection.

Other highlights are the new Baldwin Bed wrapped in leather with metal banding, and padded headrests which offer comfort and support and built-in bedside tables with surface-mounted power outlets providing convenient charging stations and the perfect perch for accessories.

The New Canaan Lounge Chair named after the iconic Glass House has an acrylic base that reveals the clean architectural lines of the stainless-steel frame. The Petite Wood Float Chair also uses acrylic to stunning effect by combining it with a solid walnut frame.

The Rottet Collection can be viewed at the Rottet Collection Showroom, 29 West 30th St., 6th Floor. For appointments or to order, call 1-866-400-4777 or email orders@rottetcollection.com. www.rottetcollection.com
