MillerKnoll Announces Acceptance of SEAL Sustainability Award

MillerKnoll was honored with the Sustainable Innovation Award, which recognizes game-changing innovations and ideas that bring us to a more sustainable future. The company was honored for leveraging ocean bound plastics to reduce waste, reimagining the contents of textiles, and working to reduce single-use plastics by engineering more sustainable packaging solutions.
“At MillerKnoll, we believe that designing beautiful products and spaces also means developing sustainable products. This belief is core to our history and to our purpose today. We continue to develop innovations across the company to design out waste and source better materials. We’re proud to see our work reflected in this SEAL Sustainable Innovation Award and look forward to pushing the boundaries even further,” commented Gabe Wing, vice president of sustainability, MillerKnoll.
From incorporating ocean-bound plastic into iconic products such as Herman Miller’s Aeron Chair and Sayl Chair to developing a collection of textiles that diverts an estimated equivalent of 4.6 million discarded plastic bottles, MillerKnoll has demonstrated how its setting the pace in designing more sustainable products and processes in the contract furniture industry.
