Shoppe Object proudly announces the conclusion of their successful second edition at Historic Market Square, held from April 12 - April 16. The event, praised by exhibitors and attendees alike, showcased an elevated lineup of 100 design-driven home brands in its sunlit space, continuing the celebration of creativity and design that sets Shoppe Object apart.
The combination of Shoppe Object’s brand curation, signature events, and activations drew a new audience, not only of retail buyers, but also interior designers who came to see High Point’s home-focused selection.
Among the brands were returning favorites, including Ameico, Chilewich, Lonesome Pictopia, Mud Australia, MQuan Studio, Moore and Giles, Pablo Designs, Serax, and Sir Madam, alongside a variety of innovative newcomers like Be Home, Bergs Potter, Christian Rathbone, Duo Luto, Zuahaza, Printworks, Studio Touya, Trovelore, and African Jacquard. All brands showcased are available for purchase on Shoppe Online, the digital platform of Shoppe Object.
A standout feature of the show was the Seagrove activation. The wood-fired potters including Chad Brown, Ben Owen and David Stuempfle showcased their stunning work from Seagrove, North Carolina, which drew great attention to the artisans of this rural community –– home to the largest collection of working potters in the United States.
“This April’s High Point market was an extremely validating experience for Shoppe Object,” says Shoppe Object founder and director Jesse James, “The excitement and appreciation that we experienced from attendees last October wasn’t a one-off. I love watching the beauty, the engagement and the energy that we foster in our New York City show take root in an entirely new environment.”
Exhibitors shared their overwhelmingly positive experience of the event, with Jane Brown, VP, Sales Director of Artbook / D.A.P., remarking, "We've tried for years to reach the interior design market and within the span of a few days dozens of designers, keen on filling shelves with books and offering our high-end illustrated titles to their clients, placing impressive orders. We're now convinced that there is no better way to reach this market than exhibiting at High Point and quite specifically among the very well-selected Shoppe Object vendors."
Kyle Koenig, Country Manager of Serax, agreed: "Serax has loved the experience of exhibiting with Shoppe Object, and Shoppe Object – High Point in particular offers a different perspective from the New York show, delivering nearly 100% new customers from channels we’re specifically targeting for the growth of our U.S. business."
Susan and Katharine Hable, co-founders of Hable shared, “Visiting Shoppe Object was a highlight of our High Point market. It was wonderful to be in such a beautiful space filled with natural light, high-end accessories and incredible artisan finds. We loved the entire aesthetic of the show and the quality of all the vendors. There’s literally nothing else like it in High Point!”
Jesse echoed the sentiments of attendees, saying: “It felt great witnessing real friendships develop among exhibiting brands throughout the week, and to see the spark of collaboration between our brands and the new clients they were meeting on the show floor for the first time.”
“What makes this work and will keep it growing is that Shoppe Object is bringing something truly unique and interesting to High Point Market, and in turn our brands are meeting great new customers that they won't encounter anywhere else.”
Shoppe Object – High Point opened on April 12, allowing buyers and exhibitors to connect one day before High Point Market’s official opening day. The show ran for five days, closing on April 16th. The High Point show will return in October with an additional focus on engaging events and activations for the community of brands, buyers, retailers, and interior designers.
Up next, Shoppe Object returns to NYC at Pier 36 and Skylight at Essex Crossing for their summer edition, August 4th through 6th. For more information about the show’s upcoming events, visit www.shoppeobject.com.
