Earth Day Highlight - Kravet Family of Brands’ Green Initiative

For the second year in a row, for every furniture order placed, in conjunction with One Tree Planted, Kravet is working to restore our planet’s forests, one tree at a time. In addition, they have formed a partnership with Seaqual Initiative Community to remove litter from the ocean floor and bring sustainable products to market using upcycled yarns.
The company’s sustainable efforts extend their manufacturing partners, being sure that those they work with share sustainable values.
· The mills share the same commitment to sustainability, through various efforts such as recycling waste, reusing water and materials, motion sensor lighting and wind power - among others.
· Kravet are members of the Sustainable Furnishings Council (SFC), a coalition of manufacturers, retailers and designers dedicated to raising awareness and expanding the adoption of environmentally sustainable practices across the home furnishings industry.
· Kravet is the first home furnishings company to join the Good Future Design Alliance (GFDA), a community of design + build professionals dedicated to reducing total waste by 50% over five years
· Plus, they have obtained Leader Status from MindClick, which rates the environmental health performance of manufacturers and their products

Practices
Creating a sustainable future starts at home. That’s why the company is committed to eco-friendly practices in their offices, warehouses and with the products sold.
Additionally, they ship using UPS carbon neutral, which offsets the emissions of shipments, offsetting 1581.484 metric tons of CO2 in 2023 alone.
