Planned Furniture Promotions (PFP) will kick off High Point Market with an extravaganza inspired by the Masters Tournament on April 12 starting at 5 p.m. and open to all market attendees.
PFP will transform its showroom located at 212 E. Russell Ave. into a hub of golf-themed festivities featuring a Drive, Chip, Putt contest. Unlike any other market activity, this highly anticipated event and contest gives guests an opportunity to take part in a full-scale WeGolf simulator, designed to challenge their golfing prowess.
At the end of the evening, participants with the best scores will win a variety of prizes including first-rate golfing equipment.
Another highlight of the evening will be an auction to benefit City of Hope’s West Coast Golf and Tennis Tournament. The sole auction item is a highly exclusive one-year membership to Dormie Network, an esteemed private golf club network.
This exceptional opportunity, solicited by Bennett Rasmussen of RC Willey, extends full benefits to the winner, their significant other, and any children under the age of 23 residing in their home, allowing access to all seven Dormie Network properties for a year. All proceeds from the auction will go directly to support the City of Hope's life-saving work in cancer research and treatment.
"It is an honor to have this opportunity to support City of Hope," said Bennett. "With 100% of the proceeds dedicated to this noble cause, we're not only fostering philanthropy but also providing an avenue for someone to enjoy remarkable golfing experiences.”
In addition to complimentary food and crafted drinks inspired by the Masters Tournament, the event will offer other memorable activities for photo opportunities. Larger-than-life likenesses of golf legends Arnold Palmer, Bubba Watson, Dustin Johnson, and Tiger Woods will grace the nearby Center Point lobby on Hamilton, and event attendees can capture photo ops with these icons at no cost.
"We're thrilled to bring the excitement of golf to High Point Market," said Tom Liddell, senior vice president at Planned Furniture Promotions. "It's an opportunity to bring our industry together to showcase their skills all while giving back to City of Hope.”
