Therapedic Int’l Gives Partners a Lift with Adjustable Bases

Therapedic International aims to give retail partners a lift in their bedding business with a new adjustable base program that makes it easy to get started, enhances profits in the trending category and offers a drop-ship component.
Demand for adjustable bed bases has been growing as more consumers recognize their functional and wellness benefits, says Therapedic CEO/President Gerry Borreggine. With this in mind, the company is collaborating with South Bay International for its expertise and quality programs in this category. Therapedic is offering retail partners a turnkey adjustable base program that includes a choice of two models packed with features to drive promotion and increase attachment rates.
“Beyond drawing customers, our adjustable bases offer retailers a healthy margin of 40 to 50 points with attachment rates around 30%,” said South Bay CEO Toby Konetzny.
Therapedic reports strong results in two key regions where its dealers piloted a program late last year. Darren Sodikoff of Therapedic Midwest said his dealers had “a phenomenal response with great sell-through to the consumer.” Additionally, Mitchell Levine of Therapedic New England said the drop-ship capability is a value-added advantage because it alleviates warehousing challenges for their retailer partners.
The Flex200 model features wireless remote for head and foot adjustability, flat and zero gravity presets, three memory buttons, and quality mesh and fabric wrap with a weight capacity of 850 lbs. for the mattress and users. It also includes a mattress retainer bar, emergency battery strip, and zero clearance or adjustable legs. Offering additional features, the step-up Flex300 model includes dual massage with three intensity levels, USB charging ports on each side, and underbed lighting.
Constructed of durable steel frames and high-quality motors, both models are available in Twin XL, Full, Queen, King, and Cal King Split. All are drop-ship ready via FedEx.
