Meridian Furniture, a furniture brand serving retailers and designers with an ever-changing product line of reasonably priced, high-style designs sourced globally, said that it had surpassed 90-percent customer participation in its recently launched White Glove, Drop Shipping at Checkout Program.
Meridian Furniture Chief Technology Officer Jerry Cabessa said the new platform allows a retail or design customer to access a portal and shop for product, place orders, choose from several delivery options and carriers, and instantaneously get a final price.
Using API technology, the platform works quickly, allowing many RSAs or designers to place orders and provide real-time information to their customers at point of sale.
Almost 90 percent of the manufacturer’s 9,500 SKUs are in stock. When orders are placed, they are then shipped within 24 hours from its 400,000-square-foot-New Jersey warehouse by national carriers who pick up at the facility daily.
“For an independent retailer or designer, this program offers ease and convenience of placing an order, but more importantly, full transparency throughout the process so they can manage their customer relationship,” he said.
“Another important factor in the program,” according to Cabessa, “is that dealers and designers get access to top national carriers who offer a variety of exceptional white glove services. These are options that these independents would not have been able to secure for their customers on their own because of their order volume.”
“Jerry and his tech team has really created a dynamic and comprehensive platform that has had an immediate impact on sales and performance. Our dealers and designers love the ease, convenience and transparency of the new program,” said Michael Rosilio, president.
