Williams-Sonoma Named to Barron’s 100 Most Sustainable Companies

Williams-Sonoma, Inc., the world’s largest digital-first, design-led and sustainable home retailer, announced the company has been recognized by Barron’s as one of the 100 Most Sustainable U.S. Companies 2024.

The annual list honors the top 100 of the country’s 1,000 largest publicly traded companies for their achievements and efforts related to various environmental, social and governance (ESG) metrics. Williams-Sonoma, Inc. has been recognized by Barron’s every year since the inception of the list seven years ago and is the only exclusive home-furnishings retailer to be included.

“We continue to prioritize sustainability as one of our core values and as a key differentiator amongst competitors in the home furnishings space,” said Laura Alber, President and CEO of Williams-Sonoma, Inc. “We have set ambitious goals for ourselves, and we are proud to be recognized on our path to achieving them as one of Barron’s 100 Most Sustainable Companies.”

To develop this year’s annual ranking, Barron’s partnered with Calvert Research and Management and ranked the 1,000 largest publicly traded companies on environmental, social and governance factors. The 100 companies featured on the list achieved the highest scores across 230 ESG metrics, ranging from workplace diversity to greenhouse-gas emissions.
