Currey & Company Appoints Amanda Spence to New Director Position

Amanda Spence began her career with the global-lifestyle retailer, Anthropologie, after graduating from Colgate University. This was the first of several notable companies that Ms. Spence joined before accepting her new role with Currey & Company as Director of Accessories and Portable Lighting.

She  was one of the founding employees of the distinctive gardening store, Terrain. She has  also worked for West Elm and Napa Home & Garden where she used her brand developing and curatorial buying skills to procure products from around the world.

Her love of travel began at an early age traveling with her parents and has continued until today. Amanda is an avid scuba-diver, dog-lover, and her active life is infused with an adventurous spirit. Her fearless approach to work and product design is one reflected by the way she lives her life.

The newly created position of Director of Accessories and Portable Lighting evolved  out of the company’s growth in the accessory category and the expansion of table and floor lamps.

Currey’s Vice-President of Product Development, Pam Bailey, shares, “All of us at Currey & Company are thrilled to welcome Amanda Spence as our new Director of Accessories & Portable Lighting. Mandy is a creative merchant who is deeply skilled in international product development of home goods.”
