Tamara Day by Spectra Home Will Debut in Early March and Expand at April Market

The debut of the Tamara Day by Spectra Home upholstery collection at the October High Point Market was met with widespread enthusiasm from retail buyers and interior designers who were looking for a new take on livable luxury upholstery to offer their customers.

Tamara Day, known as the purveyor of glam and cozy lifestyle looks and host of Magnolia Network’s top hit show Bargain Mansions, partnered with Spectra Home to create a family-friendly upholstery seating collection that resonates with today’s consumer. It will be on the retail floors by early March.

“We were extremely pleased with the strong opening results from our new collaboration with Tamara Day,” stated Jim Telleysh, president of Spectra Home. “At the October Market we met with many of our long time retail partners and opened a record number of new accounts with retailers and interior designers. They came to the showroom to meet Tamara, see the new Tamara Day collection, and be the first to place their orders to draw new customers into their stores. Their early commitments and the continued daily orders made it possible for us to quickly put the new collection into production and get it on the retail floors sooner. Tamara’s large loyal fan base is eagerly awaiting the arrival of her new collection this spring.”

“According to the feedback that we received, the elements that made this collection popular were the classic clean lines, its functionality, and the durability for family and pet friendly spaces,” Telleysh shared. “Tamara understands how the modern family lives today, so we designed this new collection to meet their evolving lifestyle needs. The Nall group is a good example. The sofa is covered in easy to clean performance fabric and the storage ottoman is the perfect spot to store blankets and pillows or games.”

The Sagamore Sofa group was one of Day’s favorites. “I love how the cool, neutral blue tones make this group unique yet traditional,” Day commented. “My goal was to design everything to be versatile so you can mix and match and make every space feel special.”

“When we learned about how the Common Thread for the Cure Foundation aids those in our industry who are battling breast cancer we wanted to help too,” Telleysh continued. “So many of us have friends and family members who have had to deal with breast cancer and the financial stress it causes. To help, we are donating a portion of the proceeds from the Tamara Day by Spectra Home collection to the Foundation. We hope that our support will ease the burden that families are experiencing.”

The Foundation supports individuals fighting breast cancer who are affiliated with the furnishings and design industries by offering financial assistance through confidential grants. The grants are intended to enhance quality of life and can be used to meet any financial obligations, household needs and transportation to medical appointments.

In addition to the six Tamara groups that Spectra Home introduced in the fall, “We plan to add more upholstery groups and expand the collection by 50% for the April High Point Market,” Telleysh concluded. The collection can be seen in Spectra Home’s showroom, 200 N Hamilton #213 by appointment or at the spring Market.
