Holidays Bring Out Generosity in Grand Rapids, Michigan

According to the Grand Rapids Herald-Review, Slumberland Furniture in Grand Rapids, Michigan helped make “Homes for the Holidays” for area families with donations of beds this month.
Every December, Slumberland Furniture has its biggest bedding event of the year without selling a single mattress or box spring.
Throughout the month, Slumberland Furniture as a whole donated approximately 2,000 mattresses and box spring sets to nonprofit partners throughout the communities it serves.
Slumberland Furniture is proud to be part of this worthwhile program. During the week of December 18th, 15 mattress sets were donated with the help of Northland Counseling and Grace House.
“It’s our pleasure to partner together to help get a good nights’ sleep to those in need. For far too many families, a warm bed has become a luxury. With Homes for the Holidays, Slumberland is working to ensure that everyone in our communities gets healthy sleep” said Jessica Kackman of Slumberland Furniture in Grand Rapids.
The Homes for the Holidays program began in 1993. Since then, Slumberland has donated more than 40,000 new mattresses and box springs to deserving families.
