Bassett Hosts Factory Tour for Store Associates

Bassett recently hosted its largest factory tour group comprised of managers, buyers and sales associates from 10 Bassett Design Centers in 8 different states.

The group toured the Company’s wood factories in Bassett and Martinsville, Virginia, along with a trip to the Newton, N.C., upholstery complex and the High Point showroom.

“The people who tour our factories feel a stronger connection to our Brand and our products.  Being able to see how the furniture is crafted and getting to know the people behind it really energizes our retail partners,” said Matt Johnson, Bassett VP of sales.

“We also learn a lot from our retailers on these tours about how the products are selling, what the customer is requesting, and trends they’d like to see from Bassett.”

Participating in the November tours were teams from: Interiors Home in Lancaster, Pa., Furniture Connection in Clarksville, Tenn.; Kittle’s, Indianapolis, Ind.; Tyson Furniture, Black Mountain, N.C.; Huck Finn Home, Albany, N.Y.; Babette’s Furniture, Leesburg, Fla.; Blockers Furniture, Ocala, Fla.; JC Mattress, Jefferson City, Mo.; Custom Home, Wilmington, N.C.; J&K Home Furnishings, Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Jeb Bassett, SVP of manufacturing, gave attendees a history of both the Company and his family’s history in furniture.
