AHFA Announces Cressman Elected Chair of Board of Directors

The American Home Furnishings Alliance announces Nathan Cressman, president and CEO of Magnussen Home, was elected chair of the American Home Furnishings Alliance Board of Directors for 2024 during the organization’s Annual Meeting & CEO Conference in Nashville, Tennessee, Nov 2-5.

Magnussen Home’s corporate headquarters is in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Cressman is based at the company’s Greensboro, North Carolina, office. Joining him on AHFA’s Executive Committee are Andy Bray, Vanguard Furniture, first vice chair, and Caroline Hipple, Norwalk Furniture, second vice chair. Joe Johnston, Johnston Casuals Furniture, continues on the Executive Committee as immediate past chair.

Executives named to new three-year terms on the AHFA Board of Directors include: Doug Bassett, Vaughan Bassett Furniture; Jeremy Hoff, Hooker Furnishings; Travis Wagner, Ashley Furniture Industries; and Mark Weber, Southern Motion.

Continuing on the board with terms expiring at the end of 2025 are: Edward Audi, Stickley Furniture; Mark Franklin, Franklin Furniture; Sean O’Connor, Universal Furniture; Veronica Schnitzius, American Leather; Luke Simpson, Durham Furniture; and Henry Vanderminden IV, Telescope Casual Furniture.

Board members with terms expiring at the end of 2024 are: Steve Elton, Brown Jordan; Fred Henjes, Riverside Furniture; Steve Lehman, Smith Brothers of Berne; and Melinda Whittington, La-Z-Boy Inc.

Eddie Massood, Massood Logistics, and Jason Porter, Hickory Springs, are the 2024 representatives on the board from AHFA’s Solution Partners division.
