Archirivolto Introduced Prototype at Trade Fair in Milan

Visitors at this year’s trade fair in Milan loved the prototype of this multifunctional chair that has now gone into production: DS-525 Tosca. Archirivolto’s new design for de Sede blends seamlessly into any part of the home and also makes a “bella figura” in a range of public spaces.

The design is the result of a collaboration between de Sede and the designers at Archirivolto, a studio based in the Italian town of Colle di Val d’Elsa in Tuscany. The rich cultural heritage of this region is not only reflected in the name but also in the design of this new favorite: a classic sculpture that at the same time stands out for its first-class comfort.

This is thanks to the quilted compartments, which are reminiscent of clouds and create a sense of wellbeing.

The comfort of the seat also creates a lasting impression thanks to its outstanding ergonomic design, which enables perfect posture. The chair is available with or without armrests and can be swiveling or “fixed”. It can even be stacked.

This makes Tosca ideal for customized seating in conference rooms and lecture theatres, meeting rooms, congress forums and a range of event venues: “In the DS-525 Tosca we have successfully created a design that casually blends into different areas, both private and public. This makes it the perfect example of modern, dynamic living with a timeless touch,” says Monika Walser, CEO of de Sede.
