American Furniture Hall of Fame Inductees Help ‘Transform the Future’

This past weekend, during Fall High Point Market, celebration hosts Aviva Stanoff, textile artist, philanthropist and “Sparkletunity Ambassador,” and David Santiago, designer, brand ambassador and development and cultural outreach officer led the ceremonies with David Pogue, Emmy-winning tech expert, correspondent and columnist headlining the event.

The American Furniture Hall of Fame induction ceremony was focused on celebrating the exceptional leadership of the men and women who have helped build and define the home furnishings industry, TRANSFORM THE FUTURE 2023 is a call to lead by fostering an environment that encourages and inspires future leaders.

As part of the Foundation's new initiative, the keynote address paid tribute to the Hall of Fame inductees as they received the industry’s most prestigious honor at the industry’s greatest networking event.

The inductees, Alex Peykar of Nourison Home, Erie Sauder of Sauder Woodworking Co., and Jeff Seaman of Rooms to Go were honored with their custom-designed, gold, black enamel and diamond lapel pin to commemorate their honor, and each was given the Affie Award.

The Affie flame symbolizes the enduring spirit of the home furnishings industry and the energy required to achieve the accomplishments, innovation and leadership of each Hall of Fame Member.

The award features a flame plated with 18 kt. gold, circled by a metal infinity band crafted of stainless steel seated on a black marble base.
