Hooker Furnishings, M Brand Introduces New Items

Following a highly successful debut in April, Hooker Furnishings’ modern lifestyle furniture brand, M, returns for its second High Point Market with several new items, including dining tables – a first for the brand. Additional introductions include several new occasional tables and case goods, four new upholstery groups as well as an upholstered bed.

“Freestanding statement bars, multifunctional sideboards and upholstered dining chairs are already part of the product line, making our entry into the dining category a natural extension,” said Becky Weber, senior vice president of merchandising for M.

“Designed with the same ‘multi-use’ strategy as our accent items that work equally as well in the living room as side tables as they can as bedside tables, our new dining offerings are also perfect for entryways or other gathering spaces throughout the home.

“In fact, our new 60-inch round Archer dining table will be showcased this fall as an anchor for an entryway, demonstrating its versatile design,” she added.

Two dining tables join the line this fall as part of the Archer Collection. Crafted of mahogany, a rectangular table comfortably seats eight and a 60-inch round dining table are available in both a chestnut and a black stain finish. Table bases feature classic Tambour-inspired design elements, providing a distinctive and modern aesthetic.

Highlights of the additional case good introductions include:

Cain – Playing into mixed materials, the Cain occasional group features open and airy curved silhouettes in a black stained oak with hand-wrapped double wall cane work. Pieces include an open console, coffee table and bookcase.

Grayson- A smoked glass occasional group consisting of five pieces, Grayson features an etagere and console table as well as tiered coffee, side and drink tables. The group is characterized by its smoked glass, brass finials and contrasting metal bases.

“Upholstery introductions lean into color, texture and soft curves with a subtle balance of warm color tones and a few dramatic ‘moments’,” said Weber. “New upholstery silhouettes will be dressed in a tactile lineup of velvets, boucles and leathers in a warm palette with hints of dusty rose, smokey hues and wheat tones.”

Three new upholstery collections will make their debut, along with an armless “slipper” chair and an upholstered bed. New textiles include 31 fabrics and five leathers. Of those new textiles, 28 are performance-grade fabrics and two are nubuck leather options.

Upholstery highlights include:

Liv, a modern camelback-inspired sofa, shows off its soft curves with classic camelback styling, gently curved arms and a bench seat. Fully customizable in a wide selection of premium fabrics, it will be shown in a tawny, rose-tone velvet with a lush pile and subtle striation this fall.

Ariel, a new fully upholstered bed features a shelter-style headboard that mimics the silhouette of the Liv sofa’s camelback styling. Customizable in a variety of premium fabrics, it will make its debut in a rich, wheat-tone velvet.

Covered in a domestically produced performance boucle with coordinating tonal velvet kidney pillows, the Miles upholstery group offers a 70’s vibe with its tall, curved and padded arm styling and layered back cushions that rest against a curved back rail. Designed with a bench seat, it is available as a sofa and chair silhouette.

The Darian modular sectional addresses small scale living with modern style. Characterized by its curved back rail and perfect pitch, it is available in both fabric and leather and will be shown in a textured neutral this Market.

Fully dialed into the design aesthetic of the modern consumer, the Acadia armless slipper chair sits atop a curved-front plinth base in a natural oak finish. Giving off major retro vibes, it is available in both fabric and leather and will be featured in a “chat set” this Market in both a premium wool boucle and a luxurious smokey-toned leather.
