Texas Retailer Star Furniture Name New President

Star Furniture has named Richard Jones the president of Star Furniture. In this position, Jones will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the company, including Stores, Merchandising, Marketing, Warehouse Operations and Customer Service. He will report to Jeff Cohen, CEO.
Most recently, Jones served as senior director of operations for Gap, NA. His collaborative leadership style helped the retail giant accomplish major gains in productivity, staffing, and retention. His expertise in process improvement and innovation were instrumental in helping Gap, NA achieve its initiatives.
Jones is a retail veteran who started his career with a small electronics company in Colorado, then moving on to be a district team leader with Target. From there, he worked at Kohl’s for nearly a decade, achieving the role of vice president/DM.
