Bobby Berk Introduces Collection with Showcase & Signing

"I've been spending a lot of time out at my home in Palm Desert and this collection was inspired by so much of my surroundings out there," said Berk. "The geometric and organic shapes, the fields of color, and the interplay of linear and circular elements. It's a reflection of when nature meets form and structure."

The new Bobby Berk for Leftbank Art collection includes the following designs:

EMERGING

Emerging is a new variation on some of Bobby's previous pieces for Leftbank Art, with organic forms that overlap with rectangular shapes and different levels of opacity. Originally, it was created after one of his first trips to Lake Powell, which has many different canyons and islands within the lake. Emerging, which is printed on linen with a buff-color frame, is an interpretation of that from a birds-eye view.

STROKE OF GENIUS

Stroke of Genius is a grouping of five designs inspired by the works of Mark Rothko. Bobby's interpretation incorporates color blocks but with a geometric spin and more angular shapes. The colors are all pulled from the window views of Bobby's Palm Desert home. These pieces are available in 30" x 40" on canvas with hand-embellished texture.

CORNERED

Inspired by perspective drawings, Cornered is a three-piece grouping that plays with angles in a visually compelling way. These 20" x 28" designs are on fiber canvas.

SPOTTED & SLIDING SCALES

Spotted and Sliding Scales are all about breaking up and dissecting circles to create playful and interesting compositions. Both are 40" x 55" designs on fiber canvas.

A NEW VISION & GROUNDED

When creating these pieces, Bobby was inspired by collage and mixed media. He interpreted this by layering different shapes and colors into two pairs of art that complimented each other. Both New Vision and Grounded are available as 24" x 33" pairs on artist paper framed under glass.

JUST A MOMENT

For his special pink moment piece, Bobby was inspired by the idea of a gentle connection of two shapes embracing for just a moment. Just a Moment is a 47" x 63" design on linen.

Leftbank Art will also host a book signing event with Bobby in its showroom on Oct. 14 from 1 - 2:30 p.m. ET., where visitors will get a chance to meet Bobby and see the new collection. A limited number of visitors will also be able to obtain a free signed copy of Berk's book, Right at Home.
