Envi Interior Design Studio Feature Guest Rooms in Mountain Homes

Mountain homes inevitably bring mountain guests, with Montana’s superb scenic summer seasons and epic winters making an invitation to visit feel like a golden ticket. With her background in wellness and international hospitality – as well as more than a decade living in Montana hosting her own family and friends – Susie Hoffmann, founder and design principal of Bozeman-based Envi Interior Design Studio, knows how to make guests feel special.

Her clients with mountain homes appreciate her skill in creating comfy, hardworking yet sophisticated spaces for adults and kids that combine relaxing retreat with the right playful vacation vibes to ensure a memorable visit.

For the guest bedroom pictured, in a ski-in and ski-out house at the prestigious Yellowstone Club, Envi was tasked with creating a lodge-style home with contemporary, comfortable, and graceful interiors.

The color palette throughout the home pays homage to the light, bright hues of sky, snow and the Montana winter landscape – which of course continues into the guest bedroom. Complete with a fireplace, space for working, sleek mini-fridge and a cloudlike bed with cozy textures that beg for satisfying slumbers, this luxe guest space makes it hard to leave.

Kid-friendly guest rooms are a must-have in homes built for gathering with family and friends. Twin beds are great for snowbound sleepovers, and a mix of plaid against stylishly oversize paisley – with mounts overhead that nod to the region’s Western heritage – is equally suited to little wranglers or adults.

A custom-built freestanding double loft bed with an integrated desk maximizes space and provides a comfortable second sleeping spot accessible by a staircase while suggesting the fun of a treehouse fort. For a third option, sleek white bunkbeds are highlighted against another Envi-designed textured wood wall, and furry shearling rugs plus a giant cushion chair create a cozy place for play.
