THE FIRST Chair from Karimoku Exhibits at Furniture China 2023

Karimoku Furniture Inc. based in Higashiura, Aichi Prefecture, central Japan, is proud to announce that its premium recliner chair "THE FIRST" will be exhibited at Furniture China 2023, a five-day expo at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre running from Sept 11 to Sept 15.
THE FIRST is a series of recliner chairs that has been in production for over ten years, having launched in the domestic market in Japan in 2012. THE FIRST was introduced to China at the Furniture China expo in 2019.
THE FIRST draws upon extensive research into cutting-edge ergonomic design as well as brainwave and pulse wave analysis. The flagship RU72 model was recognized with the Good Design Award in 2012.
This distinctively personalized recliner features an all-new design and smooth operating mechanisms and operates without the use of levers or buttons. The integrated seat cushion, stretching from the head to the back, elbows and along the entire body, includes a self-adjusting headrest that tilts in accordance with the back inclination angle in order to provide optimum head support at all times.
This also minimizes offset and lifting when the seat is reclined, for the ultimate in comfort. With 70 years of experience in the industry, Karimoku Furniture boasts considerable experience and expertise in furniture-making, as exemplified by the specialized molding technique used to produce the elegant leg frame.

THE FIRST’s sales have been growing steadily over the last four years, unaffected by the global COVID-19 pandemic. No other recliner in the local market is available in such a wide range of sizes or is as easy to use.
