Nathan Anthony Announces Fall Market Educational Meet & Greet

Luxury custom-upholstery resource Nathan Anthony announces its Fall High Point Market plan to host an educational meet-and-greet in the company’s showroom IH-602, located in InterHall, on Sun, Oct. 15, from 10:30 am to noon.

Focused on furniture designed for well-being, the drop-in event offers guests a chance to meet the family-run brand’s namesake and next-generation designer, Nathan Anthony Mai, along with his parents, Nathan Anthony Furniture principals Tina Nicole and Khai Mai.

Now in his final year at Otis College of Art and Design, the young Mai will showcase his junior-year project as a fully realized rendition of an upholstered chair concept he named “BEAR,” and discuss the motivation behind its emotional comfort-based design.

“We’re excited for Nathan to participate in the family business by bringing a fresh perspective to the work we’re known for,” says Nicole, who co-founded the company with her husband in 2005 and additionally serves as the brand’s creative director. “The next generation of buyers will expect more from the furnishings they purchase, and our industry needs to be ready for this shift.”

To preview the High Point Market event, an Instagram LIVE interview between Nicole and the young designer will take place on Wed., 9/20, at 7 pm ET.

Interior designers registered for High Point Market are invited to attend the in-person showroom event during October Market with an RSVP through Eventbrite. Complimentary Sun & Swell Foods snacks will be served.
