IKEA U.S. Plans to Open New Format Store in Southlake, Texas

IKEA U.S. announced plans to open a new format IKEA store in Southlake, Texas, in late 2023. This new customer meeting point, called a Plan & order point with Pick-up, will have all of the features of the IKEA Plan & order point, including home furnishing inspiration and personalized interior design planning, with the addition of an IKEA Pick-up point, allowing customers to pick up their online purchases at the new location.

While customers won’t take products home on their shopping day, orders can be delivered or scheduled to be picked up from the convenient Pick-up location next door.

“We’re excited to grow our presence and offer a new IKEA experience to our DFW area customers with convenience and accessibility in mind. Whether you’re looking for inspiration, need help from an IKEA design specialist or simply want to pick up an online order, the IKEA Southlake Plan & order point with Pick-up meets our customers where they are and how they like to shop,” said Javier Quiñones, CEO & chief sustainability officer, IKEA U.S.

IKEA Southlake will join two large-format IKEA stores in the Dallas/Fort Worth market in Frisco, TX and Grand Prairie, TX. IKEA Southlake will be located in the Park Village shopping center at 1041 East Southlake Blvd, Suite 100 & 110, Southlake, Texas in 10,809 square feet of leased space.

“Everything is bigger in Texas, but it doesn’t have to be further. We are so excited to open IKEA Southlake and get closer to our DFW customers. While the Plan & order point with Pick-up is different from our traditional IKEA store, we are continuously exploring new ways to bring IKEA closer to our customers and hope it will better meet the needs of our local customers,” said Rob Parsons, Market Area Manager, IKEA U.S.

In addition to opening new Plan & order points and Pick-up locations in city centers, IKEA U.S. has made significant investments to enhance its e-commerce experience and service offerings, including new IKEA Family benefits, IKEA Business Network loyalty program, lower priced shipping and delivery, Click & collect, and TaskRabbit assembly services.
