Rottett Studio Presents The Beauty of Black and White in NYC

Lauren Rottet, FAIA, FIIDA, internationally celebrated architect, designer and founding principal/president and owner of Rottet Studio, presents The Beauty of Black and White, a salon-style exhibition highlighting art and furniture in her new 3,000 square-foot showroom located at 29 West 30th Street, May 20-25.

The Beauty of Black and White exhibition will showcase objects, art, weavings, sculpture, and furniture with works from Loretta Howard Gallery, Suzanne Tick, Damien Hirst, Gio Ponti and others.

Rottet’s passion for integrating art into interiors will be on display, presented salon style in in their new showroom. Over the past two decades, Rottet has expanded their practice, including the launch of the new salon, where the award-winning Rottet Collection furniture line is showcased.

On display will be select art from the Loretta Howard Gallery including prints and paintings by Al Held, Joseph Albers, Larry Poons, George Sugarman, Nicolas Carone, Robert Motherwell along with work from Carolina Nitsch Gallery by Alyson Shotz.

Framed pieces made from recycled materials by artist and weaver Suzanne Tick will be interspersed with Damian Hirst’s Brainwash Narcissist Spin Chair, Gio Ponti’s Triposto Bench and Marcel Wander’s Garden of Eden Chair. The selection process of matching unlikely pieces is included in Rottet’s design practice and highlights her signature oeuvre.

The Rottet Collection along with the Beauty of Black and White can be viewed May 20-25 at the Rottet Collection showroom, 29 West 30th St., 6th Floor.  RSVP: events@rottetcollection
