Built on the premise that 3D content creation should be simple to use and accessible to everyone, imagine.io has introduced a “Freemium” version of its web-based technology platform—allowing individuals, and small and medium-sized businesses to harness the power of the industry’s leading platform on a self-service, pay-per-use basis.
“In an omnichannel world, where the decision on what to purchase is often based on the quality or number of photographs of a product, Freemium levels the playing field,” said Preet Singh, founder of imagine.io (formerly known as Live Furnish).
“Superior imagery makes all the difference for any business in the home furnishings space, and we believe individuals and companies of all sizes should be able to produce stunning photorealistic content at a fraction of the cost of traditional lifestyle photography.”
imagine.io is currently utilized by hundreds of major manufacturers, retailers and suppliers on a subscription basis with a choice of annual or monthly plans that give companies the benefit of unlimited renders for the life of their subscriptions, with access to an ever-growing library of more than 600 room scenes, and a continually expanding collection of more than 8,000 generic props.
With these assets, users are able to produce high-quality digital lifestyle imagery, product prototypes, silhouettes, videos and product configurators in minutes, rather than months.
The new Freemium version has been created for those who may require fewer 3D renders than a standard annual subscription, or for those starting to explore the possibilities of 3D for product visuals and want to experiment with the technology first.
According to Singh, Freemium is a completely self-service experience with intuitive, gamified onboarding and video tutorials that guide the user experience.
“Along with small retailers, manufacturers and suppliers, we want to introduce the opportunities inherent in 3D content creation to interior designers, people who are currently working as professional photographers and videographers, and students who are considering these fields—giving them the opportunity to learn and ‘play’ and design beautiful room scenes with our completely web-based solution,” said Singh.
“Our goal has always been to develop a thriving community of creatives across multiple categories and industries, and we think creating a Freemium version is the best way to build that community.”
To get started, and gain access to templates and props, anyone can create a free account on the imagine.io website. Each user is given five free images to start, and users can upload additional textures using png and jpeg files for free. Access to the platform is completely unrestricted, which means users are able to build confidence creating visual content before purchasing additional renders or upgrading to a subscription.
