How Did Way Day Fare? Check with Those Who Shopped

Way Day 2023 took place to take advantage of what the country has come to expect from shopping holidays like Black Friday, President’s Day, and Prime Day.

According to a survey conducted by Civic Science website (civicscience.com), a whopping 23% of Americans shopped the Way Day sale this year, April 26-28, extended an extra day until Friday (surprise!).

Apparently, the concept and sale is a successful endeavor. However, the problem with the experience this year as it compared to 2022 was the availability of items shoppers wanted.

The survey had 3,638 responses, of which 23% said they had shopped. Of those, CivicScience.com surveyed 821 shoppers to find out if they could find what they were looking for.

25% said everything they wanted was in stock, while 54% stated that none of what they wanted was in stock.

The largest category that shoppers were purchasing was “Other,” which was just 2 points in front of Rugs & Décor. Big ticket items were not as popular for Way Day shoppers. Visit the survey page for stats on the other categories that were shopped.
