IWCE Engaged a SOLD-OUT Show Floor with Products & Seminars

The International Window Coverings Expo (IWCE), held April 19-21 in Charlotte, produced beyond expectations in the quality of the event and the number of exhibitors and attendees.

The packed exhibit floor engaged buyers with thousands of new product offerings ranging from exquisite decorative fabric, hardware, and trims to the most cutting-edge shades, all with motorized options and new growth in outdoor sun-control products such as sunscreens, awnings, and high-tech umbrellas.

The buzz surrounding the show resulted in a SOLD-OUT show floor and waiting lists for several seminars. IWCE offered 45 design, business and window treatment specific seminars, many CEU accredited — more educational offerings than any show or conference in the field.

More than 50% of visitors took advantage of the educational offerings, which ranged from design and trend courses to business and marketing, and a record number took classes in the growing field of motorization.

“I sensed we had a great show brewing with the early sign-up of exhibitors after Fort Lauderdale, but I had no idea this year’s show would be so remarkable,” Grace McNamara, IWCE show producer, said.

“We are getting a very positive response to our new Dallas location in 2024—our first show ever in Texas. We anticipate a great influx of new visitors from the western states, Mexico and South America."

This year’s IWCE had 152 exhibitors and sponsors, a 50% increase from the popular Fort Lauderdale show in 2022. A strong attendance of 3,500 attendees boasted visitors from all 50 states and 36 countries.

“The event was a sight to behold, with countless vendors showcasing their latest and greatest window dressing creations. Seeing so many talented individuals and companies pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the world of window coverings was inspiring,” commented Christin’s Curtains.

“But it wasn’t just the products that made IWCE 2023 special. The atmosphere was electric, with attendees from around the globe coming together to share ideas, exchange tips and tricks, and celebrate their shared passion for home decor. We can’t wait to see you all again in 2024!”

“Time flies when you’re having fun! I had such a good time at the IWCE last week! Amazing seminars, beautiful products, and, my favorite part, catching up with friends and colleagues. I’m already looking forward to IWCE 2024 in Dallas next year!” comments Savannah Window Fashions.

And Principal of Design Details Karen Fish said, “This was a designer’s dream to see the product offerings and take a great variety of classes. The in-depth level of information with the professional presentation style of the speakers was excellent. Each seminar attended offered an abundance of solutions both for business savvy and design creativity. Loved how engaged the class participants were with sharing personal experiences. ” —Karen Fisher, principal of Design Details.
