Known for its imported European product, Bellini is introducing the North American made line in order to offer a program that offers custom upholstered groups shipped from Toronto in six weeks or less.
The new down-filled silhouettes constructed with solid wood frames and no-sag springs cushions, have been created to answer the call from the company’s dealers for a custom upholstery program with quick turn-around and clean-lined contemporary looks. While manufactured in Canada, all follow the distinctly modern Italian design aesthetic for which Bellini is known.
“Fabric-covered upholstered groups represent, without exaggeration, the largest share of square footage on our dealers’ floors,” said Hossein Azimi, chief executive officer of Bellini Modern Living, “and they tell us the ability to customize upholstered furniture to suit their personal decorating preferences continues to grow in importance to their affluent shoppers.”
“But dealers also report that options that allow for customization combined with more contemporary styling and fast delivery have, until now, been quite limited.” For this reason, Bellini has partnered with a custom manufacturer in Ontario to produce the new line exclusively for Bellini.
“Characterized by a range of “beautiful European fabrics, colors and textures all of these upholstered groups have been created by our own talented design team, so the look and the quality are all Bellini,” Azimi said.
“Producing the line here in Canada, however, allows us to offer the ability to give affluent shoppers exactly what they want and get it delivered to them quickly. Additionally, these new, customizable higher-end looks are also set to be very aggressively priced and represent very discernable values.”
Indeed, suggested retails for the new line of Canadian-made custom upholstered furniture are expected to begin at $1799.
Among the three groups, Pasha is a wide-armed, deep-seated, to-the-floor contemporary silhouette with plush, down-filled detached and reversible seat, back cushions and accent pillows for superior comfort. Covered in a sophisticated, modern woven it’s paired with Turin swivel chairs in a sumptuous deep orange velvet.
Santos is another to-the-floor design, this time with wide track arms and a more modern stance. Down-filled all over, it’s paired with a coordinating chair-and-a-half. Both are shown covered in Poodle, an ultra-soft and inviting texture.
Diamonte is a tailored, button-tufted, off-the-floor look atop sleek metal legs with trim track arms and a bench cushion, shown covered in a menswear-inspired wool felt. It’s paired with free-standing, left- and right-chaise lounges. All fabric selections offered in the new line are performance-rated for easy care and livability.
