H Contract Joins EFA Conference and Expo with Outdoor Furniture

H Contract, a supplier of seating and case goods for the senior living market will be showcasing several new products at the upcoming EFA Conference and Expo, April 15 – 18 in Charlotte.

The show marks the first time H Contract – a division of Hooker Furnishings – will display outdoor furniture at a major trade event since its parent company’s 2022 acquisition of Sunset West, a leading West Coast-based manufacturer of outdoor furniture.

The addition of the outdoor product category further expands the company’s position as one of the largest furniture resources for a variety of senior living spaces.

“It’s a timely addition to our portfolio as the outdoor furniture category continues to become increasingly important to our senior living design partners,” said Dean Jarrett, vice president and general manager of H Contract.

“Adding the category to our already comprehensive product line allows us to now offer nearly 3,500  SKUs to our customers across multiple categories, positioning us an even more valuable – and convenient – resource for their projects.”

Founded in 2004, Sunset West has been committed to bringing luxury outdoor furnishings to the casual market with comfort, style, and durability in mind. With distinctive collections, the company designs products for harmonious transition from indoor to outdoor spaces, providing elevated looks that are an extension of the living area.

“Combining highly durable and functional construction standards with a stylish, residential look, the addition of Sunset West to our product line reinforces our goal of helping senior living residents transition to their new homes with ease by providing high quality, stylish furniture with an ‘at home’ feel,” Jarrett added.

Highlights of the outdoor furniture pieces that will be on display at the EFA Expo include the Redondo Round Dining Table and chairs. The Redondo Round Dining Table blends modern and industrial sensibility into one striking design, featuring a slatted tabletop and sled base with a hand-brushed Slate finish.

Also included in the presentation are the Monterey Club Chair that incorporates organic lines with a stately frame for a handsome statement outdoors and the Laguna Sofa Table, a re-imagination of materials, crafted in aluminum, with a hand-brushed finish to mimic real driftwood. Laguna captures a timeless look with modern sensibility.

In addition to the new outdoor offerings, the company is expanding its lounge and dining seating category at the EFA Expo with ten new made-to-order items. Ranging from benches to ottomans to settees and chairs, the items include contract-specific details for long lasting durability in high-touch commercial spaces like lounges, dining rooms, corridors, and lobbies.

H Contract seating items are manufactured with contract-specific standards including commercial-grade fabrics, commercial foam, moisture barriers, contract-grade frames, as well as removable seat decks on many items for easy cleaning.

To display the new outdoor furniture segment as well as the additions to its upholstered seating and case goods lineup, the company has expanded its space for the Expo by 50 percent. The new products can be viewed in the newly expanded H Contract space in booth #1621 at the EFA Conference and Expo running April 15 – 18 at the Charlotte Convention Center in Charlotte, NC.
