TURF Launches Upgrade of Wall Panels to Assist and Inspire

Turf has launched an upgrade of the brand's classic acoustic solution, Reed, a wall panel with undulating textures that breaks the acoustic mold. Part of the company’s Folded Tiles collection, Reed is created by a dense row of fluted felt that defines space with quiet grace.

In each panel, the interior folds and channels of the product create an exceptionally performing acoustic solution. This new version of Reed provides design customization options including width expansions of both the panels and individual ‘reeds.’

New composition features paired with Reed’s overall improved construction offer specifiers a product revamped to meet their design needs.

“At Turf, our mission is to create products that assist and inspire designers and architects. Keeping our current catalog updated, to us, is just as important as designing new products as it ensures that we’re supplying specifiers with optimal solutions,” explains Turf President Rob Perri.

“This improved version of Reed presents new options for customizations and ultimately boosts our wall panel collection with a visually bold, audibly impactful solution.

The wall panel can be a single profile across a continuous span, or mix and match profiles, colors, and textures. A standard panel’s width options are 12”W and 24”W with a standard depth of 2”D. Reed profiles within each panel are available in three width lengths: 2”W, 3”W, and 6”W.

The wall panels are available in Turf’s 9mm PET felt, offered in the brand’s new palette of 32 shades and the eight Turf Textures. Color can also be patterned within panels with standard options of two-tone, gradient, and stagger.

Layout options vary from vertical and horizontal, which both offer elegant, understated looks, to crosshatch which creates a dynamic textural effect and additional visual interest. Adhering to different environments, Reed can be customized with cutouts or for wall-to-wall layouts with pre-configured or custom patterns.

Reed uses a standard connection of Z-Clip or can be installed using a construction adhesive. Depending on the profile, the noise reduction coefficient (NRC) ranges from 0.8-0.92.
