ArchLIGHT Summit Secures New Partners for Fall Edition

ArchLIGHT Summit has secured several new partners for its Sept. 19-20 edition. New partnerships include Dallas chapters of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and Illumination Engineering Society (IES), along with Light Justice.

New sponsors include Casambi, Targetti, Thomas Technologies, Designer Pages, and LightNow News, all supporting the growing expo and educational platform at Dallas Market Center.

“We’ve seen significant growth and interest in attendance and exhibitor participation over the least two years,” says Cindy Morris, Dallas Market Center president and CEO. “We’re proud to welcome our new sponsors and media partners as we continue to connect professionals from every corner of the industry.”

ArchLIGHT Summit, hosted on the 5 million square foot campus of Dallas Market Center, is an emerging lighting trade event and educational platform for the architectural, specification, and design communities. The event launched in September 2021, establishing a forum for product innovations from leading lighting exhibitors and a robust CEU program.

The event welcomes lighting designers, architects, interior designers, specifiers, and students to review new products and attend a range of seminars. AIA Dallas President Ben Crawford, AIA, LEED AP, Senior Principal, Design for HOK’s Dallas practice, participated in the 2022 program, serving on a panel with other top Texas architects from Rottet Studio and Page, moderated by ARCHITECT Magazine.

ArchLIGHT Summit looks forward to welcoming AIA Dallas back, this year as an official partner with a Crawford-moderated session focused on the importance of lighting in public spaces.

The Light Justice partnership also includes a programming element. This group’s work explores the intersection of lighting with social and environmental justice, the impact of marginalized communities and human health, and opportunities for the lighting industry to help overcome these inequities.

In addition to a session explaining these concepts, a Light Justice-led workshop is planned to connect underserved communities in Dallas with the professional disciplines in attendance as well as students representing future advocates and solutions.

ArchLIGHT Summit also welcomes two new members to its Advisory Board. Jered E. Widmer, IALD, MIES, principal of The Lighting Practice’s Dallas office, and Peter Augusta, vice president of sales for Casambi North America, join an esteemed panel of cross-disciplinary experts guiding the event’s programming and structure.

These include Craig A. Bernecker, Ph.D., FIESNA, LC, founder of the Lighting Education Institute; Michelle Cruz, lighting specifier/specification sales for Putterman Scharck & Associates; Archit Jain, IALD, LEED® AP, ISLE, principal of Oculus Light Studio; Kelly Roberts, LEED® BD+C, IES, studio director for Wald Studio; Shahad Sadeq, Assoc. AIA, Executive Director of AIA Springfield’s Chapter; and Laura McDonald Stuart, FASID, RID, LEED® AP, WELL AP, founder/owner of Laura McDonald Enterprises and PLiNTH & CHiNTZ.

While additional partnerships are also pending, a current list of Association Partners for the 2023 ArchLIGHT Summit includes:
