Diamond Mattress Finds Success with Sustainable Mattress Collection

Diamond Mattress has found success delivering healthy margins for retail partners and a sustainable mattress collection that consumers want and can afford.
Recently when Diamond took a closer look at its eco-friendly Ethos collection, the company was able to quantify what it’s believed has been a strong upward trajectory with the three-model line.
The company reported sales doubling each month since its August 2021 launch among retailers who carry the niche program. In addition to consistent sales increase, Ethos can deliver retailers healthy margins of 60 to 70 percent.
From core to cover, Ethos has leveraged the advances in mattress and fabric technology to offer high-end, sustainable sleep products and achieve better margins with dropship capabilities.
“Many manufacturers have a hard time striking the balance between building a quality mattress with natural and organic materials at an accessible price point for the average consumer and delivering profitability for retailers. We’ve done it with Ethos and the numbers prove it,” said Trina Solomon, director of marketing.
Ethos mattress models include the 14-inch Cove Hybrid, 15-inch Natural Hybrid and 12-inch Organic Hybrid. The collection is made in the U.S. using GOTS-certified organic cotton and wool, natural latex, non-toxic EcoFlex™ foam, and Diamond’s patented zoned and nested wrapped coils. The retail price range for queen mattress only is $1,699-$2,499.
Solomon said Diamond prioritized affordability for consumers, recognizing the economic pressures, and balanced that with their increasing desire to create a healthy home and lifestyle.
“We stay on top of consumer trends,” she said. “As older Millennial consumers increase their buying power, their voices along with the Gen Z consumers demand sustainable products and solutions. We also provide marketing support that speaks to them, which is something our retail partners really value.”
