Mustard Made Finds A Way to Vibe with Design Trends for 2023

How are your New Year’s resolutions holding up? Every new year, changes are made in habits, whether they’re for health, money, or… style, perhaps? One thing often discussed are themes and trends that look to shape how plans are made to color or decorate spaces.

Mustard Made, launched by sisters Becca and Jess Stern in 2018, is a company that is looking forward into 2023 for those “exciting design vibes” in one of the latest blog entries on their website for their on trend colorful lockers.

These aren’t your teenager’s old high school locker, but they could be you or your teenager’s designer locker. These are made for home, work, and play and they are both practical and pretty.

The sisters have highlighted three design vibes on their blog, and they have a way to help with each of them.

The first is “Perfectly Pink.” Why pink? Surely you have been made aware of the Pantone Color of the Year, Viva Magenta, and, as the sisters point out, the release of the upcoming Barbie Movie just screams PINK!

What does this mean for your room? According to the blog, “Achieve peak pink styling by layering different tones within your space. Combining softer pastel shades of blush with richer, vivid pinks (and even a highlight pop of red!) will bring depth to your color palette.” Need some help with that? Check out their Tones of Pink Collection.

Next up for the year will be to “Say goodbye to minimalism and hello to bold colors, geometric patterns, and vintage-inspired homewares. We predict that themes such as art deco and pop art will hugely influence how people decorate their homes this year. More is more, and less is a bore!”

“… Start with one feature piece, boldly patterned wallpaper or a vibrantly colored piece of furniture and build your space from there. Layer with vintage-inspired artworks, unique antiques, and retro textiles.” Need some bold, retro colors? Shop the Bold + Primary Hues Collection.

And last, but not least on the list of 2023 themes is “multi-functional spaces.”

“Think about zoning a large room into smaller spaces. Invest in storage that allows you to easily transition your office space back to your home space. Yes, we're talking about lockers!”

Mustard Made is available online at us.mustardmade.com and Maisonette and ships internationally to the UK, Australia, Europe, US and Canada.
