Fourth Quarter Results Coming in for Leggett & Platt and Others

Leggett’s business is expected to have lackluster trade sales and earnings in fourth-quarter 2022 thanks to persistent supply chain disruptions and chemical, semiconductor, labor, and transportation-related woes.
Also, supplier production disruptions and logistics challenges are likely to have added to the negatives. The company expects the fourth quarter to be slightly lower than the third quarter, primarily due to further reductions in steel rod production in response to the slowing steel market.
Later in February, mark your calendars to hear from a couple other home and furnishing companies with their fourth quarter and end of year results.
Wayfair Inc., destination for home, announced that it will release financial results for its fourth quarter ended Dec. 31 before the opening of the market on Feb. 23. They will host a conference call at 8 a.m. ET to review results.
