Fusion Designs Expands Essentials Quick-Ship Program with Platte River Group

Fusion Designs, producer of solid-wood, domestically shipped case goods, is expanding its Essentials quick-ship program, with its Platte River home office group.
The contemporary/transitional group will be available for order and immediate shipping at Winter Market in Las Vegas in the Fusion Designs showroom in B201-02.
Created in response to the growing popularity of the “work from home” movement, Fusion Designs created the new, scaled-down, clean-lined solid wood home office group of products with the needs of younger consumers in mind who may be living and working in smaller spaces.
Stocked in brown maple wood, the Platte River group offers an executive desk with a power port (USB power, as well as standard plug power), filing cabinet, writing desk and a variety of bookshelves that feature solid wood adjustable shelves, available in 30, 36, 42, 60 and 72 inch-sizes.
“While the industry is focused on selling primarily traditionally styled, solid wood, American-made furniture to older generations of shoppers due to the higher price points inherent in quality, bench-made designs, we have chosen to target my own, younger cohort with an ever-expanding portfolio of contemporary and transitional designs,” said Marcus Bontrager, president of Fusion Designs.
“Research shows that Millennials now make up the broadest consumer segment and we think it's time to stop assuming that they won’t spend for quality furnishings,” Bontrager added.
“Our dealers tell us that younger consumers are gravitating more and more to solid wood furniture that has been made in America because they have experienced the perils of imports and ‘fast’ furniture and simply don’t want any more of their purchases to end up in landfills. They are absolutely willing to invest in quality furniture that will stand the test of time.”
The Platte River home office group is set to retail from $1,149 for a filing cabinet to $1,999 for an executive desk.
Like all products in the Essentials program the Platte River home office group is in-stock and available for immediate shipping to dealers. Stocked in brown maple wood, the group is available in any of the company’s 35 finishes.
