Fusion Designs Introduces New Traditional Suite at Las Vegas Market

Fusion Designs, a solid wood, domestic case goods producer, is introducing a new five-piece, traditional oak bedroom suite, Grandview, at the Las Vegas Market later this month in Showroom B-201.

The move further expands the company’s traditional product portfolio and builds on both the momentum of Emma, a traditionally styled oak bedroom group introduced at the recent High Point Market, and the resurgence in the popularity of oak furniture in the marketplace.

“Given the response we saw to Emma at the Fall High Point Market, and the feedback we continue to receive from our dealers, there is no doubt that oak furniture is enjoying a renaissance," said Fusion Designs President Marcus Bontrager.

"Dealers tell us that shoppers are seeing oak furniture in an entirely new light now, especially when we apply fresh and unexpected finishes to what is one of the most recognizable of American hardwood species."

The Grandview bedroom group features a raised-panel headboard and footboard, mortise and tenon construction techniques, features like soft-close drawers, and an Autumn finish that highlights the natural beauty of the wood species. Bench-built in a choice of more than 30 finishes, it is available for delivery in eight weeks.

Dean’s Furniture in Alma, Arkansas, is one of Fusion Designs largest customers who has embraced the oak trend.

“We are definitely seeing growing interest in quality American-made furniture, and specifically our Fusion Designs collections in traditional styles,” said Dave Dean, its owner. “In fact, I will tell you that we sell very little transitional and contemporary furniture in our market now, and the traditionally styled Fusion Designs are an easy sell for us."

"Shoppers immediately recognize the quality craftsmanship the moment they open a dresser drawer or sit in one of the dining chairs. Oak is increasingly what these customers are looking for as well.
