E.S. Kluft & Company Opened New Factory Deep in The Heart of Texas

Luxury bedding manufacturer E.S. Kluft & Company opened its new 100,000-square-foot factory in Grand Prairie, Texas. Located in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan market, the facility will employ more than 80 people and is the company’s third factory in the U.S.

“We looked at 13 different states and decided on Texas as a way to best serve our customers in this region,” said Jon Stowe, managing director of E.S. Kluft & Company. “We already have a huge customer base in Texas and in the Southern markets, and we’re seeing it continue to grow with a lot of people relocating from the West Coast and the Northeast.”

While the furniture industry and retail are seeing a slowdown, the luxury market has the greatest capacity for growth and the greatest resistance to economic ups and downs.

“Since 2019 we’ve experienced tremendous growth and we continue to hear that luxury bedding sales are going strong,” said Stowe. “The addition of the Grand Prairie location will help us reduce lead times and increase service and delivery to our retail partners as the luxury category continues to grow.”

Stowe adds that logistics and shipping costs also played into the decision to open the Texas facility. Its central location will help save on the logistics expenses associated with shipping and transportation.

At the new facility, located at 701 E. Wildlife Pkwy, Suite 160, Grand Prairie, TX 75050, plans to produce and start shipping to customers is slated to begin in January 2023. The company will produce all of its luxury mattress brands – Aireloom, Kluft and Marshall Mattress – in the Texas factory.

“The addition of a third factory in Grand Prairie is an important step for us as we continue our commitment to providing best in class service and quality products to all our customers,” said Stowe.

Adds Rafael González, CEO of Flex Bedding Group, "this new U.S.-based factory fits perfectly with our corporate development strategy and increases our capacity for growth and innovation. This also allows us to strengthen our leadership position in the Premium segment, an important strategy for us as the luxury market tends to be insulated from economic slowdowns.”

Currently, 40% of Flex's sales come from its Premium division, which has globally recognized brands such as E.S. Kluft in the U.S. and Vispring in the UK.
