Wovn Home, a direct-to-consumer custom window treatments company based in NYC, launched a new painterly collaboration with Michigan-based watercolor artist Kelly Ventura.
Ventura is a Michigan-based watercolor artist who brings her love of nature into the home with the expressive strokes of her paint brush. Nature is a constant source of inspiration for Kelly. With natural motifs and earthy color schemes, the artist’s watercolor images translate beautifully to decor, fabrics and wallpapers for the home.
The inspiration for the collection comes from nature, and the designs bring the calming feel of the outdoors into the home with new looks paired with Wovn Home's crafted product.
Kelly designed 3 patterns inspired by color, texture, light, flowers, and leaves, which she brings to life through her gestural style in this new launch.
The Courtyard pattern is one that feels both floral and abstract. Ventura comments, "A nod to a sweeping floral that didn't feel super recognizable, more of the suggestion of a floral. I love that this pattern feels traditional with a slightly playful approach."
"The way that the leaves of a fern unfurl is one of those quirky parts of nature that I love. The way the leaves unfold, bend and climb is an interesting thing to observe, and I wanted to try and capture a bit of the beauty in this pattern," Ventura explains about her inspirations for the Fern pattern.
Trail is reminiscent of the pattern left along the shore after waves roll in.
Wovn Home is a direct-to-consumer company, creating accessible and beautiful custom window treatments for the modern home. Consumers can create beautiful and high-quality Belgian linen window treatments online. Their products are custom made by family-owned production partners in North Carolina.
"I have long admired Kelly’s watercolor style and organic approach to pattern design. It has been a natural fit collaborating over the past year. The patterns of this exclusive collection work wonderfully as drapery or Roman shades to infuse playful sophistication to a room,” Davina Olgivie, founder of Wovn Home.
“The combination of mauves, blue, celadon, and ivory create a versatile color palette that will fit beautifully in bedrooms and nurseries to living rooms and offices."
