After introducing approximately 100 items in casual modern styling in April 2022, the division is adding about 125 new items this market, said Aaron Hedges, director of e-commerce for Legacy Classic | Modern. The division is optimized to produce a high conversion rate for omnichannel and ecommerce sales, with 85% of the line designed to ship small-parcel-direct to the consumer, he added.
“We have launched HFO with all the major e-comm players in the home space, and initial orders have exceeded expectations,” said Robinson. “What’s been an unexpected bonus is that larger brick and mortar retailers have been intrigued by the value of the line and are rolling it out on their floors,” Robinson said.
Hedges added that, in addition to a strong launch with retailers, “Our regular customer base has seen this as a way to add a new line of starting-price-point goods for incremental sales.”
“Products getting the most sales traction includes our KD upholstery and casual dinette sets,” he added. Sofas retail from $499 to $599 and a dinette table and 4 chairs or 3 chairs and a bench retail for $699 to $899.
The smaller scale, casual and affordable designs are aimed at a younger demographics or downsizing adults. The HFO line is showcased in a 3,500-square-foot showroom dedicated to over 100 products in accessorized room vignettes within Legacy’s free-standing Uwharrie Rd. HPMKT showplace.
