The winners were selected through a lottery-based open call that is mindful of diversity and inclusion, central to the HPxD movement. All the selected interior designers are first-time Hummer Tour attendees and will be exploring High Point Market in style.
“The HPxD Hummer Tour is certainly one for the books, and I love hosting it! Not only do we make a mark simply driving through High Point in a branded stretch Hummer, but HPxD works to cultivate a VIP experience that is about camaraderie and discovering exciting brands to add to your must-see vendor list!" says Massenburg.
The Hummer Tour will begin at Splashworks, where owner and HPxD Board president Tom Van Dessel will welcome the designers before they are shuttled off to Cohab.Space for breakfast featuring Cohab's food depot. Tour guests will experience Cohab’s food truck depot in collaboration with Kitchenology which debuts during market from Oct. 19 – 25.
Followed by stops at Antiques & Design Center, Asian Loft, and Tamarian Rugs before breaking for al fresco lunch at Verellen where several of their “friendors” - M2C Studio and The Royals Project - are also HPxD members.
After lunch the tour heads to Lancaster, Oly Studio, Baker Furniture, and Codarus’s new High Point flagship, Broad Hall.
Each stop will bring the interior designers to the showroom for a guided tour introducing them to the brands’ design talents, principals, and marketing teams. The last stop on the VIP Hummer Tour billed as “the after party,” will be at Eichholtz to coincide with their festive Philipp Plein U.S. launch celebration.
