American Woodcrafters Entire Line Now Surcharge Free

Mid-priced case goods resource American Woodcrafters has announced that it is removing a 16% surcharge on its entire product line, effective Monday, Oct. 17.
Like most case goods importers, American Woodcrafters has had a surcharge in place for over a year to compensate for high ocean freight rates.
“With transportation costs dropping over the last 3 months, we wanted to move forward on a ‘back-to-normal’ basis, and our entire product line, including new introductions at the October High Point Market, will be surcharge free out of our warehouse going forward,” said Rusty Morris, vice president of sales and marketing.
“We hope this will give retailers more confidence in what they are purchasing at market, and ultimately improve their margins and their close rates,” he added.
